Personality: On the surface, Lena is the model of the stereotypical teenager; acting indifferent and aloof, sarcastic at every opportunity, and willing to risk a bit of trouble to have a good time. A self-proclaimed "mysterious rebel playing by her own rules", she spent most of her early years on her own and taking care of herself. Due to her of her origins - created from the shadow of the evil sorceress, Magica, to enact revenge against Scrooge McDuck after being locked away - it was difficult for Lena to get close to anyone, and became used to doing things without help.

However, despite the front she put on, Lena actually grew up quite lonely. Though Magica had mostly been locked away, the part of her that created Lena resided in Lena's shadow, a constant part of her as she made her way in the world, mostly on her own. And while Lena referred to her as "Aunt Magica", Magica was more interested in using her as a tool for revenge than actually treating as a person. Having to deal with Magica's constant derision and demands while just trying to exist, Lena developed her own thoughts and feelings separate from Magica, and desired nothing more than to be free from the witch. However, she agreed to help Magica with her plans for revenge, on the condition that the witch would set her free once she returned to power. But carrying the weight of the evil sorceress in her shadow, and knowing she was playing a part in seeking revenge, Lena had to keep people at arm's length, pretening not to care and keep people back in order to protect herself and her secret.

And while this worked for many years - Lena trying to survive with Magica constantly present in her shadow - everything changed for her after meeting Webby. At first using Webby as just a part of Magica's plan for revenge against Scrooge, Lena actually began to care about her the more time she hung out with the other girl. Spending time with Webby, as well as Huey, Dewey, and Louie, allowed Lena to learn what a family was really for, and what a loving family could be like. And being around someone who actually cared about her as an individual, someone who appreciated her, Lena began to value and desire geniune connections with others, so much so that Webby getting hurt and losing her became Lena's worst nightmare. Because of that that, Lena was willing to sacrifice herself to protect Webby when Magica eventually returned to power. Having her first real friend helped Lena develop into a deeply caring individual, able to put those she cares about before herself.

Naturally, though, Lena is far from perfect. Just before her returning to her physical form, Lena showed that she is prone to intense jealousy when she feels something is threatening her friendship with Webby, such as when the two of them first met Violet. And after years of keeping a close hold of her emotions, she sometimes has trouble between trying too hard to express emotions - such as trying to hard to be enthusiastic - or still keeping some things secret from her friends - such as her fears and concerns that the magic that she possess will make her become like Magica. She at times experiences moments of insecurity and uncertainty, especially when it came to understanding her magic. However, she is always able to find her way with the guidance of her friends, and now with the support of her new family, after having been adopted by Violet's fathers. With help from both her best friend and new sister, Lena was finally able to accept her magic as her own, and was able to unlock her full potential as a young sorceress.

There is still much for Lena to learn, both about herself and her magical abilities. But with the encouragement of her friends and family, Lena has discovered that there is more to her than just a mysterious rebel. She is still a bit of a rebel, but now it is by her own choice, having the freedom to be who she wants to be. She is also a person who truly cherishes the people in her life, whose feelings run strong and deep, and who wants to use her new magical powers to protect those that need help. She is someone who truly cares about the people close to her, even if that care is still expressed through a sarcastic comment now and then.
